4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris : The 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris will give you the opportunity to have an amazing experience during your Rwanda Safaris. The safari will ensure that you will have an amazing experience in the park where you will get to participate in golden monkey trekking and gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park which are the main highlights of your safari in Rwanda. However you will get to participate in a number of rewarding activities like the Kigali city tour, Ruhengeri city tour for memorable safaris during your stay in the country.

DETAILED ITINERARY FOR YOUR TRIP

DAY 1: PICKUP FROM KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

On 1st day of your 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris at a location of your choice in the country or from Kigali international Airport, your guide for your safari will welcome you to Rwanda and take you through the briefing session of your 4 days primate safaris in Rwanda. After the briefing session, you will participate in a Kigali city tour where you will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum where you will get  to know more about the dark period Rwandans went through during the massacre of the Tutsis by the Hutu, Kimironko market the largest market in Rwanda where you will get to buy a number of items, a number of African fabrics as you get to interact with the different with  the locals for amazing experiences after the tour you will have lunch and make your way to volcanoes national park, during your way you will get to know the land of 1000 hills that will be seen on your way to Volcanoes National Park, you will also get to see a number of tea plantations and coffee Plantations among other rewarding views as you get to the home to the endangered mountain gorillas and endangered golden monkeys in Rwanda. On reaching the park you will transfer to your hotel for refreshments, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING

On day two of your 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris after an early morning breakfast at your hotel you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to volcanoes national park in order to participate in golden monkey trekking. When you get to the park headquarters, you will go through a briefing session where you will get to know the rules and regulations to follow during golden monkey trekking in Rwanda. After the session you will participate in the activity which involves hiking the different virunga mountains in the park to get to the habituated golden monkey troops  in the park. during the activity as you hike the mountains, you will see a number of bird species like, different attractions like the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, lake kivu, Dian Fossey’s grave among other attractions and when you get to the primates you will observe their behaviour in the park as you take pictures for rewarding experiences during your Rwanda safari, you will head back to your hotel for lunch and in the evening you will participate in community walks to see how locals carry out their daily activities that will be educative and entertaining at the same time and among these include; banana beer making, subsistence farming, and preparation of local dishes among other activities. After your rewarding experience with the primates in volcanoes national park and cultural encounters in volcanoes national park you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: GORILLA TREKKING

On day three of your 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to volcanoes national park where you can carry out gorilla trekking in Rwanda. When you get to the park headquarters, you will participate in a briefing session where you will get to know the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking in Rwanda, the precautions to take for memorable safaris in the park. After the briefing session, you will be accompanied by an armed ranger who will protect you from any animal attacks, you will also be accompanied a guide who will lead you through the different hiking trails on the different virunga mountains to access the habituated Rwanda gorilla families. When you get to the families, you will get to observe their feeding patterns how they co-exist with one another among other interesting features of the primates, you will then take pictures and later on head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI

On day four of your 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to Kigali city. During your way to the city, you will have brief Rwanda city tours where you will have a brief tour in Ruhengeri where you will get to visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo where you will participate in a number of activities at the lakes like nature walks, birding and so on, you will then transfer to Kigali city where you will have late lunch and later on be dropped at a location of your  choice in Kigali city or Kigali international airport and the end of your 4 days Rwanda Primate Safaris
