This majestic mountain is located in the Kilimanjaro region near Moshi town. It is very accessible by everyone since Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is only 30km in the southwest of it. Mt. Kilimanjaro is found in the Kilimanjaro National Park that is surrounded by the vibrant Chagga people. The base of Mt. Kilimanjaro is fertile, rainforest and alpine trees dominate the base hosting wild animals like buffalos, leopards, elephants, elands, monkeys and stunning birds of prey.

Geologically, Mt. Kilimanjaro was formed over 1 million years ago after volcanic eruptions along the Rift Valley. You will observe all the Big Five animals including lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and black rhino on a game drive. Elephants are easily spotted in the acacia woodlands grazing. Leopard are usually in the kopjes and grasslands. Black rhinos are less social endangered animals whose population has declined much in the past 50 years. You can encounter them in group of three to four in the short shrubs.
