7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park, is a hiking safari experience in northern Tanzania safari starting in Arusha and then to Marangu gate where you will begin your hiking adventure on Mount Kilimanjaro which is snowcapped.
Mount Kilimanjaro which will be the main highlight of your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park in Tanzania has Kibo peak, Mawenzi peak and Shira peak.
You will also visit Tarangire national park which is home to many elephants and you will engage in game drives as you enjoy seeing various wildlife species while on your 7 days hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari. You will return to Arusha at the end of your safari as seen in the itinerary below;

Day 1; pick up and drive to Marangu gate and Mandara hike
Your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park, will begin with pick up from your hotel in Arusha and you will proceed to Marangu gate. At the gate, you will complete the entrance formalities as you prepare for to begin your hike up Mount Kilimanjaro.
You will trek through forests where you will see monkeys as well as various bird species on your way to Mandara hut where you will spend the first night of your Tanzania safari. This hike along the Marangu route will take about 4 to 5 hours.
Day 2; Mandara hut to Horombo hut
After having breakfast at Mandara hut , you will begin your ascent through forests, grassy moorland on the way to Horombo hut where you will spend the night and also have your dinner.
You will be able to enjoy views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks as you hike along this trail which takes about 5 to 6 hours.
Day 3; Horombo hut to Kibo hut
On the 3rd day of your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park, you will have breakfast before continuing to hike from Horombo hut to Kibo hut. You will spend about 4 to 5 hours during this hike to the bottom of the crater wall where you will find Kibo hut and spend the night and also have your dinner at this point.
Day 4; Kibo hut to Uhuru peak to Horombo hut
On the 4th day of your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park, you will wake up very early to begin your hike from Kibo hut to the summit where you will enjoy watching the sunset and also take photos. The Uhuru peak is about 5,895 meters and is the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro.
After your experience at Uhuru peak, you will start your descent back to Horombo hut where you will spend the night and have your dinner during your 7 days Kilimanjaro safari.
Day 5; Horombo hut to Marangu gate and drive to Arusha
After having breakfast at Horombo hut, you will continue your descent back to Marangu gate where you will receive your certificates for completing your hiking adventure on Mount Kilimanjaro which is Africa’s tallest mountain.
Your guide will drive you to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the night and enjoy your dinner at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.
Day 6; drive to Tarangire national park
On the 6th day of your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park, You will start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Arusha as you prepare to begin your wildlife viewing adventures in the northern part of Tanzania. You will visit Tarangire national park which is known for having large herds of elephants and also for the ancient baobab trees which you will see during your game drives. Your lunch will be served at your lodge in the national park after checking in.
During your 7 days Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro safari and Tarangire national park experience in Tarangire national park, you will engage in an afternoon game drive during which you will enjoy seeing wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. You will also enjoy seeing various bird species as you drive around the national park. You will be driven back to your lodge at the end of the day for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 7; morning game drive and departure
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park ahead of your morning game drive in the national park where you will enjoy seeing the wildlife species like elephants, lions, leopards and many others. You will have your lunch in the wilderness of the national park and continue your drive back to Arusha where your guide will drop you off bringing
